Just make statement on factual basis for wwhich you can produce proof also, not contradicting your statement once you make.

Just stick on your version what is on your plaint. Listen the question carefully then answer, keeping the impact of answer which must not go against you, legally and factually. Your lawyer may help better.

I suggest (in addition to already told suggestions) not to reply in haste. It is good to first patiently listen the question raised by opposite counsel then understand its meaning, weigh it in the light of your version and then answer it. You are not bound to answer each and every question is affirmative. Some time you may also tel that due to passage of time, you have forgotten the particular date or sequence of events as the question may be.
