Customs duty

Hi,

I have imported medicines from the US via DHL. Now, upon delivery, they want me to pay customs duty, counter vailing duty and handling fee. I am not sure if I am supposed to.
If some one could help, would appreciate.

Check with the department whether the article attracts the customs duty or not. If it is levied then you have no option but to pay.
