Family property

I belong to a middle class family, my father has not ever earned even a single rupees.My mother works and she grown me up.My grandparents never supported us.and always did torture.we have a house on name of my Grand mother.I want them to transfer 1floors and roof on my Mother's name. is it possible.moreover, the time this house was constructed my mother gave a sum of
1.5Lacs nearly 10yrs back for same.but we don't have any proof of that.n meanwhile electricity bill of 2 floors come on my uncle's name so documentry only 1 floor and roof is left.and i dont want same to be engulfed by my uncle again.I am in big dilemma.Pls advise what can be done to get property transferred on my mother's name.I would be very tahnkful for kind advise.

you can get the property transferred in your mother's name through gift deed. If she is your maternal grandmother then your mother can file a suit for partition also.
If all these fails then declaratory suit or suit under benami transaction is the option left to you.

If the property belong to your grand father and after his demise the property is transferred in your grand mother's name,in that case grand mother,your father and uncle i.e. two sons, each have equal share.If your grand mother agrees,you all can have partition of the property by regd.family settlement deed.Electricity bill in anybody's name do not confer any title nor take away rights of other sharers.

Dear All,
thanks for suggestions..

This land in on name of my parental grandmother since day1.Now i have asked her to transfer my parents share on their name. as my mother has grown older she cant earn now and father is already unemployed.Can we demand for partition?My uncle was telling me if property is on Parental Grand Mother's name we cant ask for share.Pls help me clearing this doubt..
