Hi,
Have ancestral property in Mumbai,land with constructed house.
7*12 and property card has name of my father only.
He has expired. Survivors are 1.my mother 2.myself &3. my brother.We both are married with children.
Q.:Is it necessary to update the names in 7*12 and Property card?.
Will my mothers name be included or of only the two brothers.

You need to carry out changes in revenue record after the death of your father.

Name of your mother, yourself and your brother will be entered in the 7*12 extract and property card

Mutation in 7/12 required in your case.Application should be for all three,mother and you two brothers.
