Amendment in Partnership deed

Dear All

If there is an amendment to be made in partnership deed, what are the formalities to be complied with. Is the amendment to be made on a stamp paper? and will it have to be registered?

U have to take the decision regarding the amendment in the partnership deed in partners meeting. Yes u have to make fresh deed on the stamp paper and it will have to informed to the registrar of firms.

I agree With Rajeev's opinion !

Partnership deed incorporating all the amendments to the old partnership deed and it should be filed with registrar of Firms !

Thank you everyone for the answers. Thus I would be required to make another partnership deed which would be in effect the old deed after incorpration of new changes. And the stamp duty on the same will again be the same as the original partnership deed?

In my case, I have paid Rs. 500 for the original dedd. Can I just mention the amendment in another stamp paper of Rs. 100 and register the original deed again with the amendment document?
