whats the meaning of " V.P. filed" in court

A Party appear before theCourt, and HIs Advocate Filed a VAKALATNAMA, so that the party be represented by their Advocate, and as it is filed, it is called " V.P.Filed "
Means party to suit appeared before the Court,
