Whether Power of Attorney be registered

I want to know the legal position as to the registration of power of attorney regarding an immovable property. Whether the registration of the same is mandatory or not?

If rights or title are conferred on the attorney holder, then such power of attorney need to be registered in respect of immovable properties. Otherwise, it is not required.

For all the aspects of managing such property the registration is not mandatory but if the attorney is also given the power to transfer the same then registration is a sine qua non.
