I have another query from my side... Yesterday, i went to CAW cell, nanakpura to register my complaint but they directly refused my request bysaying that my marriage had done at rudrapur, uttrakhand and also that rudrapur is the place where crime had been committed so file ur case from rudrapur and thus refused from filing my application.

Kindly, guide me regd. this point .....

The approach can not be faulted if all atrocities are committed in Rudrapur, only that place would have the jurisdiction.

Yes Since the offence has been committed in Rudrapur, the jurisdiction lies there only, however if your parental house is in Delhi - then they can't refuse to take your complaint.

Thanks to all for prompt replies....

But i am still confused to file my complaint of 498a from directly delhi or SSP, rudrapur to take minimum time for quick response or choose another way under section 156(3) submit in delhi court to fight from delhi only because it is not possible for me to go on day to day basis at rudrapur for any legal matter.
