Member of a Co-operative Housing Society

(Querist) 12 April 2010 This query is : Resolved 
One member of a co-operative housing society has given his flat on rent. He is not staying in that society but he has given his name for becoming committee member of the society. Can that person become member of a committee even if he has given his flat on rent and he is not staying in society. (he has given his name only for becoming member of the committee and not for chairman or secretary or tresurar). Please advice

The bye-laws of the society should be gone through prior to replying your query. You can provide light on it.

YES . HE CAN AS HE IS MEMBER , even though given flat on rent.HE IS MEMBER .
