Sir,

Dear Sir,
It all depends upon your internal circulars, if you have not having then clarify the same from your head office and in this situation no higher officer has time to answer your questions. Better stay in the Head Quarters in the better interest of you and also the inmates of the hostel.

Whether any distance fixed / given in your appointment letter?
No such distance can be fixed. There are posts where a government officer is not permitted to leave headquarter.
If you are paid with House Rent allowance, you should live / shift your residence near your office. If provided residential facility, you are supposed to live in the provided house.
What are the service conditions / instructions regarding keeping residence applicable to your post?
Have you requested to provide you a place to stay during your working hrs. in the hostel premises, if no residential facility has been provided?

Some of the Government officers are supposed to remain available for 24 hours. Example is administrative posts. You can see in your district like DC, SDM, etc.
What duty you perform for 24 hrs. daily without rest?
If it is in line with your appointment as Hostel Superintendent, you have accepted it as term of appointment, any step taken in opposition to it may not succeed.

Aapko apna appointment letter dekhna hoga jisme sab sharte likhi gaee hain. Agar aapko hostel me khana, rehna, bijli, pani aadi sab free hai aur aapko duty appointment letter ke hisab se dee gaee hai to aap kisi aur kramchari se apni tulna nhi kar sakte.

Hostel ke incharge ki duty aam tor par full time hi rehti hai. Sarkar ka niwas se doori ka koi niyam nhi hai. kahi bhi transfer sambhav hai.

This is third query on the subject, Hostel superintendent has lot of spare time, it is possible you may not be having fixed working hours, yet workload may not be for 24 hours. You must be getting assistance from other staff, rather to make it an issue, coordinate and manage.
If the assigned duties are in accordance to your appointment letter, any relief is doubtful.

In any of your query, you have not mentioned the actual distance of your residence to your office?
Is your residence is at the place / city / town of your office?
Have you been paid House Rent or provided with residance?

govt servant ke duty hours hote hi midnight to midnight hain

Hostel ka incharge to ek tarah se chowkidar hi hota hai jiska koi samye nhi hota. Aap apne pariwar ko sath rakhne ki prarthna kar sakte hain parbandh samiti se. vo shayad manjoor ho jaye.

Why such repetition of the same query on your side?
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 17 April 2020
Repetition of same story do not change response / opinion and advise of the obliging experts.
On the other hand it is absurd and ridiculous to repeat the question time and again.
If you are not satisfied with the obligation (which is FREE OF COST) you must consult a local prudent lawyer for professional advise, guidance and necessary proceeding.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 17 April 2020
This repetition is not due to technical error, the post is repeated with different name and under different heading. This is case of intentional repeating.

T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 18 April 2020
The same question has been repeated in many threads despite that many experts were kind enough to give suitable answers tothe querist, but it seems she is not satisfied hence she is constantly repeating the same question.
