Add surname

Hi Team,
I have a similar problem. Currently I have no official surname (due to my parent's and teacher's mistake) but I am dying to have one. Please help me out with the procedure for adding my surname to my currently official name.

When you official name does not contain surname, better you keep it as it is instead of getting into problems.

If you want to add surname, you have to follow the same procedure which is meant for change of name. You may make an affidavit accordingly get it notarised, publish the change of name contents as found in the affidavit in the government gazette, carry the gazette copy as a proof of your changed name with you always until you become popular with the new name.
