Cheque bouncing

Respected Experts,
Kindly provide me the solution for my query. I have misplaced my Bank Cheque Book in the year of 2009, but today i received a message from my bank that one of the cheque from that serial no. has bounced today.
Kindly provide me any solution as per the law.

ddid you inform the bank about loss of cheque book in writing?
did you file any police complaint about loss of cheque book ?
once legal notice is issued contact a local lawyer and reply to legal notice

No i have not informed the bank and have not made the police complaint about the loss of cheque book. Actully sir the missing of cheque book came in mind when i got a cheque bounce intimation from the bank.
Still no legal notice is addressed to me.
Now I am very much afraid about the other cheques.
Kindly provide me any solution, what can i do in this situation.

well now you inform the bank that cheque book has been lost by you and it was discovered by you on date . . try to lodge police complaint if possible

also request bank to stop payment of all cheques . enclose copy of police complaint made by you of loss of cheque book
as far as cheque which has bounced wait for legal notice and then reply to notice after consulting a lawyer
