Free hold properties

Hello! Experts,

My name is Devin and i want to purchase Land now i m confused in Freehold. Now Question Arises "What is Free hold Properties"? and What type of Papers Makes differed it from other Properties, in other words, If i want to judge the seller having Freehold Properties so, Which type of Paper i should look. and how can i Judge seller is not lying. So Please guide me as soon as possible

in case of lease hold properties the property is given on lease for say 99 years . ownerhsip dosent vest with seller . he is a mere lessee . whereas in freehold properties seller is the owner anc can dsipose of property as he desires .
