Dear All
I have 2, 1bhk flats in mumbai. The society is charging equal general maintanience for 1bhk,2bhk,3bhk flats. Now they are reconstucting the society garden and asking us to pay the same amount for both flats ,wheras the totality of our both flats area wise in total ,is same as one 3bhk flat.Shld we have to pay same maintainece bills double ,whereas the 3bhk flat owner pays single ,even though the area is same

property taxes would depend upon area of flat . similarly water charges would depnd upon number of inlets . however other charges have to be borne equally by members .
the maintenance bill of members would differ as property taxes , water charges , insurance charges would vary .
corss check with your society . your maintenace bill must be showing separate property taxes , water charges , mintenace bill

If the owner and member of two flats are one and the same, on this count, payment should have been charged single. Raise this issue in the Society's meeting.

I agree with views of Shri Ajay Sethi, as it complies with bye-laws.
bound to pay as per Flat, not owner.
Certain charges are area wise, service charges are Flat wise,
Sweeper have to ring bell of both your Flat, and collect ?? so same owner need to pay as many times as flats he have, Clear??
