CASE FOR EVICTION ON GROUNDS OF NONPAYMENT OF RENT HAS COME TO STAGE OF ASSESSMENT OF RENT.TENANT HAD EXECUTED RENT AGREEMENT FOR 11 MONTHS WHICH WAS NOT REGD.WHEREIN RENT AMT. IS MENTIONED.HE WAS PAYING RENT BY CHEQUE BEFORE HE COMMITTED DEFAULT.ARE BANK STATEMENT AND AGREEMENT SUFFICIENT TO PROVE RENT AMT, AND DATE OF DEFAULT.PL ALSO ADVISE IN WHICH CONDITIONS STANDARD RENT IS APPLICABLE. CASE IS FILED IN AMRITSAR PUNJAB

When he was paying rent by cheque then that shall prove agreed rent.For period of default damages would be payable either @ the rate of agreement or for more if claimed
and proved.Other evidence may be present rate of rent prevalent in the locality building situate for which oral evidence can be adduced.
Rent agreement for period 11 months are valid even without registration and certified extracts of ledger of bank by branch manager are admissible as evidence
under Banker's Book Evidence Act and are sufficient to prove the agreed payable rent.
