How to save tax ?

(Querist) 15 March 2012 This query is : Resolved 
Sir I want to sold my forefathers property in village where less the 1000 population per sq km and 50 km distance form municipality area.
the land is agricultural and non agricultural both i am a service holder so the income selling those property is taxable or not.

As the properties are ancestral so no tax liability is required to be imposed over you.
