Dear Mr. Yashwant,
You have to give the following information before your query could be answered:
1. In which State the property situated.
2. When did your grand father acquire the property?
3. When did your grand father die?
4. Are you sure that no property was distributed to the daughters of your grand father?
5. You say "(there was on will)". Did you want to say that there was NO will?

Hi All,
Thanks for considering my case.
And sorry for not explaining the case in details (may be due to language problem). Anyway, please find details below.

1) Property is situated in Uttar Pradesh, Ghazipur district.

2) Grand Father acquired property before my birth (say somewhere around 1960's)

3) Grand Father died in 1999.

4) Property was not distributed to the daughters.

5) There was NO WILL related to the property.

After death, of Grand Father, Grand son and Grand Daughter got married. (after 2000)

THERE IS STILL A QUESTION TO BE TOLD.

FROM WHOM YOUR GRAND FATHER ACQUIRED THESE PROPERTIES IN 1960?
A]WAS IT ACQUIRED BY INHERITANCE FROM HIS FATHER? OR
B]IT WAS ACQUIRED BY PURCHASE THROUGH A SALE DEED?? OR
C] BY GIFT DEED???IF YES FROM WHOM?
Yeshwant (Querist) 26 October 2011
It was acquired by inheritance from his father.
