Is muslim women can file an maintenance case after the period of "Mahr"? please explain.

Yes under section 125 of crpc. After iddat she cam also pray for maintenance under Protection of Women under Dissolution of Muslim Marriage Act.
The term should be 'iddat' not Mehr.
