Rs. 1.8 lac for man and 2 lac for woman.

for AY 2011-12 the maximum amount which is not chargebale to tax is as under :
for Indivuals and HUF other than women and Senior Citizen Rs. 1,60,000.00
for Women Rs. 1,90,000.00
for Senior Citizen Rs. 2,40,000.00
for Companies and Firm Nil
