Rights of family in case of death of a person.

(Querist) 28 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
Sir, My wife had expired on 8th Nov.10. She was J.B.T. teacher in Haryana education deptt. She had to retire on 28.02.2015, had she been alive.
Kindly advise me relevant rules related with rights for aggrieved family of deceased.

You would be entitlted the receive family pension and arrers of her unpaid pay for her duty period, Leave encashment.

If your wife had already made any nomination in your favour for Gratuity, Provident Fund, Government Employees Insutance Fund, etc, you would also be entitled to claim that also. If she had made nomination in favour of any other person, only that person can claim such amounts. Otherwise, being a legal heir, you can claim such amounts also.
