Dear All,

My Father is having commercial shop in Mumbai.

He want to transfer in my brother name.

Accordingly to new stamp duty exemption - How much stamp duty we have to pay?

Rs. 500/- or 2%

If it is given as Gift then the stamp duty is @ Rs.2% on the value of the property or market value whichever is higher.

Stamp duty differ from state to state, discuss / consult local registrar office / local lawyer.
