Religion Change

(Querist) 21 October 2015 This query is : Resolved
Hello, I want to change my religion legally.

I am a Hindu, I want to quit all religions. I don't want to follow any religions. So can I convert legally from Hindu to 'No Religion Status'.

you want quit one religion - simply quit
say you are an atheist.. because practically all religions worship some God God figure or religious head etc Inform this fact ofyour being an ATHEIST to all concerned and stay content

Though no formality required.

If you wish some documentary proof, execute affidavit, publish in two news papers and enjoy the status.

It is not clear as to what is the main issue. One can denounce his religion, but many rights under the personal law attached with the religion.

Pls be specific about the issue so that appropriate legal advice can be given.

If you want to accept no religious status, its OK, it is your problem, wish and desire. there is no any option though you may declare by affidavit and send it to Law minister to passed an act to accept it and passed an ordinance to mention a column for NO RELIGION in all forms and documents.

I agree with Sri Rajendra K Goyal.
