If there is no offence proved they you are unlikely to face any problem. However do not conceal this information.

In application, you give the full facts. Since nothing is proved against you, it will not be a problem to secure a job if you are otherwise eligible.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 03 December 2014
Mention the fact in your application. Keep the certified copy of court order with you.

If exonerated of the charge then you need not worry. Concentrate on your preparation for the UPSC.

Mr. Ravi Raj Sinh,

Before I reply your query, will you please clarify, if you are still a student (as per your profile), were you really studying in college in 2007 also, and if so in which class you were studying that time?
ravirajsinh (Querist) 03 December 2014

It is true that SC held in its recent judgement that if a candidate with criminal background though exonerated is not eligible for police posts. Have you applied for police post? If you know the answers, why are you coming to this forum?
Guest (Expert) 03 December 2014
Mr. Ravi Raj Sinh,

May be you would have been a student of 4th semester in 2007, but now your reference of the SC judgment has made clear that this is not your personal problem. Rather, it is your academic exercise of law school, which you may be required to solve with particular reference of the SC judgment.

Now question arises, whether you stated anywhere in your original query that you applied for the police post?

Further, have you really read the contents of judgment and whether you are sure that the supreme court order contains your contention that "even if you are exonerated in any police case in your past you are not eligible for any police job"?

Still further, have you anywhere mentioned in your query with what reference and on what ground you have been making the query to remove your doubt, if any.

Had you not been a law student and would have been a real candidate for UPSC, you could well have spelled out the very basis/ background of your doubt in your original query. BUT when you could not get answer to suit your legal academic query for referencing point of view, you have now come forward with the plea of SC judgment.

Since, I have my genuine doubt of your being a lw student and are not accustomed to concentrate on your classroom studies, you probably want a cake walk just to get the academic query solved through the experts without making any sincere effort on your part, I won't prefer to make it clear what is what of the judgment and whether that applies to your case or not. So, better read the judgment yourself, you will find the answer out of the judgment and make me also aware of whether my previous answer is right or wrong, as per your finding. Else, if you are not able to make out anything with certainty out of that only then come forward with your own analysis with exact doubt in the case vis-a-vis the nature of judgment.

TEASE YOUR OWN BRAIN & TRY TO TEST YOUR OWN KNOWLEDGE.
