Dear Sir,
Ousr Society was Governed by some Members who Committed a Fraud - Didnot Clear Property Tax etc.
They Sold thier Flats and Moved Out.
The same was Brought to the Notice of the Administrator.
The Administrator istead of filing any Complaints against the Previous Chairman, Secretary, etc - is asking us to pay an Amount of Rs.70000/- Over and Above the Normal Maintainence Charges.
The Same has been Done with the Approval of 39 Members of the 42 Flats in the Building.
Only 3 Members are Refusing to Pay.
Can the Society Force Us to Pay.
Are the Charges Legal.

property tax has to be paid . if members have fraudulently siphoned of funds take legal proceedings against them for recovery .
at present shortfall has to be met by members of the society other wise corporation will keep on levying penalty

Sir,
The total property tax due was 7-10 lakhs.
the amount collected was Rs 70000 from 42 members.
total is around 29 lakhs

You have no option than to comply with the orders of the competent authority. The authority has got nothing to do with the misappropriation of society's funds by its erstwhile office bearers, for this the present office bearers may initiate suitable legal action both through civil and criminal laws against the fraudsters.
