(Querist) 06 September 2012 This query is : Resolved 
sirs,
if a person uses a fake name , ID, and photographs in a social networking site , like orkut and facebook, is it alone is sufficient to constitute a cyber crime or some extra act should be done ?
And, if it is an offence, under what section and what are the punishments ?

no it is not and offence unless nd untill he uses the account for any illegal act.
