Good Morning,
Thanks to you all for the previous expert advice...one more query ..can a gift deeed be in joint names? E.g my mother wants to give me n my brother a flat as a gift.

And last question,how long does the registration process take?and does the donnee have to be present.after the initial formalities are done?can u give a general time frame,how long the entire process should take,since i am a NRI,i have time constraints...

wont take long time . have gift deed prepared , duly stamped and regd . shouldnt take more than 15 days .
