Cases arising out of same fir

(Querist) 06 July 2012 This query is : Resolved
Hi Expert,

Is it possible to have 10 separate cases arising out of the same FIR.?
My father was convicted in 10 cases in which all the PW's DW's etc are common. Parties are same. The case is related to some cheques. There were forging charges in 10 cheques issued by bank.

Out of single FIR only one case lies.
For separate cases separate FIRS by different persons need to be lodged

No FIR arises in Cheque cases. Only Complaint
cases could be filed.
Each cheque bounce giving a cause to file a complaint afresh. However Court can consolidate for a common judgement if charges
framed are common, parties are common and evidence is also common.
