Hi I am Darshan, i have a question abt a pagadi housde & below is the scenario.
We have a house in Bombay,the rent receipt is on the name of my Grand Mother & she is expired 1965 & now even Grand father is expired. Grand parents had 4 children. 3 Daughter & 1 Son out of which 2 daughter & son are married. 1 Daughter is still unmarried & staying at the same place. Also only her name is mentioned in the Ration Card as nobosy is staying with her in that house, now she wants to get the house/Rent Receipts to be transfer on her name. So in this case can landlord go against it or can create any problem by not transfering the name. Or is there any law that incase if she doesnt get the name transferred & after her it can be automatically transfered on my dad's name.I need a solution as soon as possible. Pls advice

make an application to landlord for transfer of rent receipt in name of daughter . let other legal heirs give NOC for transfer of rent receipt

What if the landlord is not ready transfer the rent receipt on her name.

Agreed with Ajay Sethi.
"What if the landlord is not ready transfer the rent receipt on her name." Do not imagine negatives in advance.
