If you have to ge tax rebate then your trust is required to be registered therein under section 12 of IT Act by showing accounts of last 3 years. So you now run your trust, file its I returns in time and after 3 years, get registration with IT Commissioner and get benefits accordingly.

Right.
If you want to collect donations and the expense/ collection is more than 50K per annum, you need to be compulsorily registered with Income Tax Department.

Please clarify the following:
1. Do I need a PAN card for the trust?
2. What percentage of donation amount can be used as administrative expenses?
3. Can a trust hire part time employees and pay them salary?
I am disturbing the experts, but I have many queries.
