FIR lodged but not arrested

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 21 May 2011 This query is : Resolved 
If a Person has lodged FIR against Corporator but the Police did not arrest him and saying that the Investigation is going on. Since Two month Police are investigating but not arresting to the Corporator. Police are voilating Article 14 of the Constitution of India by avoiding to arrest to Corporator. What should that person do. Please advise.

It is not compulsory to arrest a person if a FIR is registered on him.

YOU HAVE YOUR RIGHTS UNDER SEC 482 OF Cr.P.C. TO GET A DIRECTION TO ARREST THE PERSON BY FILING IN HIGH COURT.
