Credit Card issue with SCB

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 13 April 2011 This query is : Resolved
Hello,

I was having a Standard Chartered Bank credit card (Chennai) in 2004 and in 2005 before moving to Hyderabad I called the bank and asked to cancel the card as I was moving to Hyderabad and cleared the dues.

Last week I got a call from Shaha Finlease Pvt Ltd that I have an outstanding amount of 70,000/- with SCB and they offered me a settlement amt of 15,000/-.

Since its been 6 years now, I am unable to find the No Due Letter issued by the bank.
I tried to contact the bank but they gave a deaf ear and asked me to contact Shaha Finlease as my account is sold to them.

Please suggest me how to proceed with the issue as 1 guy from Shaha Finlease is calling up everyday and threatening of dire consequences if I dont pay the amount.

Thanks.

Issue a legal notice to the SCB.
