Joining anoher government job

(Querist) 30 December 2010 This query is : Resolved
Respected sirs,

I am a government employee with department of posts since last 4 years. 3 years ago I was entangled in a fraud/loss case. A disciplinary proceeding u/r 16 of CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965 was initiated against me. On completion of the disciplinary proceedings I was awarded punishment of recovery of Rs 11,650/- from my pay & withholding of next one increment for 6 months. Now both the punishment is over & my appeal against these punishments is pending with higher authority.

Now I have been selected for another central government job & willing to join that, my present employer is also ready to relieve me.

I would like to know whether these punishments will have any effect on my new assignment/career.

Request response please....sir,

regards,

Since the punishment itself is over in the earlier department, the same will have no effect in your future appointment.

It will have no effect on your new employment. As soon as you are relived. The entire service records with your previous employer have lost its effect unless there exist any service condition in new employment for consideration of service records of previous employers. However, before offering employment or even after offer your new employer can seek the information about your work and conduct during the employment. In case, if is found that you has stated any thing false or concealed any thing regarding your past employment, new employer can take action under the service conditions.

As soon as you are offered appointment, the value of previous records lost its effect unless there is any misrepresentation or concealment. In case, there exist any misrepresentation or concealment, the new employer has a right to take action in accordance with service conditions of an employee under it.
