law relating to mentally retarded person

respected sir,
can father of mentally retarded person sell the property of said person? If yes,what is processor and law relating this matter and which authority deals with it.

A next friiend or a guardian appointed by virtue of order xxxii of cpc can apply for leave of the court to dispose of his property by filing application for such liberty under guardian and wards act.
