Resignation during probation period

Sir

My Friend has joined in one of the leading private bank and worked for a month after a month due to heavy work pressure he decides to resign and submit his resignation. but the bank ask him to serve for the notice period 3 months and also urge him to pay Rs. 1 lakh. Since my friend did not sign any agreement with the bank. How to deal with this issue

Nothing. The employee if he wish could leave the job immediately. The absence of nay specific employment contract is in his favour. Even in other circumstances it is not so easy for the company to recover any amount if the employee leave the job without serving notice period.

i agree with Burman, if there exist no contract,the employer can not take any legal action.
