hiring private advocate

Sir,
please advice me, can a private advocate can be hired if the case is State V/s respondent and State has provided Public Prosecuter in the case, if yes, plz give some citation, specially with reference to case u/s 304B.

it is not hiring private advocate. Criminal procedure code allows you to take permission of the court to appoint private advocate to assist the public prosecutor.

To appoint a private advocate, permission of court and assent of public prosecutor, is necessary according to Cr.P.C.

in addition to the public prosecutor only u can appoint the private counsel, with the leave / permission of the court and the consent of the PP.
