Liability/injury in uk

(Querist) 05 July 2012 This query is : Resolved 
UK Road Transport Act is it applicable or not, if not then which act would apply
(1) what sort of liability is contemplated, i.e. no fault,
(2) what is the quantum of liability, i.e. unlimited or otherwise, (
3) what is the method for calculating damages payable in the case of a road accident, for instance in India there is the multiplier method.
