In the Deputy commissioner office you can make an enquiry about the fees.

There is no procedure to convert a land from agricultural to industrial purpose. But it can be declared non agricultural under Sec 143 U.P.ZALR Act, in Uttarakhand, and then can be used for any other purpose.

Simple application with court fee of Rs 2/- with an affidavit is enough for this purpose. Application is submitted to Assistant collector First class (SDM). He can inquire through or may call report or may take additional evidence for declaration.

Generally it takes 2 or 3 months time.

But I am not acquainted with the law prevailed in Karnataka.

It is a state subject, a lawyer from that area well acquintted with this process can help you.
