Property distribution

My grandfather had no ancestoral property, and my father lived upto certain age and then after he died, as at that time we were living in joint family so all properties were written in the name of my grandfather. Now, my grandfather is willing to distribute his property among his sons, so will my mother get equally her husband's share or it depends upon my grandfather and we have to accept whatever we are given. Plz help me with this.
