Duty of police during off duty.

if there is crime happen in front of police, but police not have on duty, in that case whether police have a right to file case of that particular crime.

It is the duty of every citizen including a offline police officer to stop if any illegal activity is going to happen in his presence but definitely such police officer cannot file case himself rather he shall report to the nearest police stations and proceeding accdring to law shall be initiated thereafter.
