Dear experts,

What is the difference between inquiry and trial?

Dear Anonymous,

As per the scheme of Criminal Procedure Code the police on reciept of information conducts enquiry of cognizible and non cognizible offence.
In eventuality when a prima facie case is made out and enquiry is concluded challan is filed pursuant whereof the trial follows.
