Hello dear lawyers,

I am the Defendant in my civil case.

My civil case regarding property is going on for 4 years, Plaint, reply, cross-examination, evidence, etc everything is over. Four months back I filed an application for additional evidence that is filed after it's order now the stage is submit rebuttal evidence otherwise arguments.

Now the stage is " rebuttal evidence otherwise argument."

Now, the plaintiff submitted one evidence to disprove one fact stated by defendant during cross-examination, this evidence has nothing to do with evidence submitted in additional evidence.

My question is-
Q) What is rebuttal evidence?
Q) Since the plaintiff has submitted evidence to disprove one fact said by the defendant during cross-examination,
Now can I ( Defendant ) can also submit a certified copy of evidence to disprove a fact said by the plaintiff in cross-examination ??

In rebuttal, evidence the defendant can also submit evidence?

Please tell me the provision in cpc, evidence act where I can read about it briefly?

Please help.

Rebuttal Evidence is the evidence officered or produced by a party to oppose or disprove the evidence presented by his/her opponent.

Now at this stage of the proceedings it is your duty to disprove the fact already established by the other party, by your producing of rebuttal evidence.

Agree with the above responds, but also keep note of your further surrebuttal too.

Rebuttal evidence means do you have any thing/fact /document to disprove the document produced by defendant, as it has been taken on record.
