Defective honey

(Querist) 09 March 2012 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
I purchased three bottles of agmark branded honey under a receipt in Malkajgiri, Hyderabad. On opening one, I found bad odour. I informed the Distributor who has not yet taken action. Once in the past, when such a thing happened, he replaced it. Now I want to get it tested in a laboratory and if any fault found, I wish to make a complaint. I suspect malpractice by the Company. Please advise.

Inform/ complaint to food inspector, C.M.O and District magistrate. But don't hand over the proof without confirmation

You may also file a complaint before the Consumer Forum which may send the bottle to appropriate laboratory for analysis under section 13 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
