Criminal Revision

(Querist) 12 August 2010 This query is : Resolved
Is it necessary to submit a written argument at the time of hearing of a CRR before High Court? Specially before Calcutte HC?
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 12 August 2010
In ether civil revision or criminal motion filing of written argument is never necessary though we indulge in it so as to refresh the memory of the Hon'able Judge after the conclusion of argument. This is in relation to Calcutta High Court.

If you have expression power verbal arguments are always better than best since written arguments are rarely read fully.

written arguments is not at all mandatory in any legal proceeding. it is used as a substitute for oral arguments for those who are not confident in oral arguments.
filing written argument notes wiil not ipso facto obsolve your duty, because remember that judges will rarely read the argument notes, as they will get little time for it.
