Compensation for land acquisition

As per Land Acquisition Act, compensation is determined based on market value as of date of Section 4. However, I have been advised that as per Section 31-A of constitution of India, compensation should be determined based on market value as on date of dis-possession of land. Please advise.

Market value on date of acquisition will apply.

So date of acquisition is which one - date of Section 4 notification or date of dis-possession ?
