Cheque micr not proper - bank not accepting

I have small kirana shop. After a very quarrel and efforts somehow I have received a cheque from a party who had make payment to me. when i went to bank for encashment, the bank officials stating that MICR number is wrong and we cannot entertain this chque.. i understand that MICR number is just beside the cheque number which is 000025000.. now what to do? i again obtaining cheque from party is difficult task..

you ask the concern bank what is the procedure to get micr number, they will guide.

There is no relation of MICR no. with the account-holder rather it is totally related issuer bank. So go to the bank branch where in the account of your client is maintained and get proper MICR.
