If my name is Ankur Kumar and i want to change my name with Mahesh Kumar so what will be the procuder and formelities and how much time consumed?
Please suggeste me.

where are you from ? its very simple you can approach your area govt gazette office and apply name change it will get 15 days.

I am from Punjab please suggest documents list n other perticulas list. how much time consumed in this process?

the gazette officer give one application form its free and fill the all the question and get affidavit signature from govt stop or notary, and along with previous name proof, and current address proof and Rs.500only thats all.

Visit the gazette office of your state government and fill up a form for change of name. You will get the copy of gazette on the date as informed by the gazette office. The maximum period is 60 days.

Once you get the copy of the gazette, you can produce the same along with your certificates and applications to effect the change in name.

Please note that the name cannot be changed in the already issued certificates such as academic certificates etc.

you could not changed your education certificate, but you can use and mention your new name in future with gazette notification
