change of address and ward for assessment

When I applied for a PAN card, I was staying in Pune. Noow I am working and staying in Delhi, how can I get my address and ward changed.The form for change of particulars of PAN at the Income Tax site is not addressing this requirement in totality. Also whom do I have to approach and how do I know of the relevant new ward No ( at delhi)in my case. Kindly advise.

There is no such legal requirement to get changes in PAN Card merely on the basis of change of residential address as IT Department is now completely online.

By changing address details in PAN database does not automatically change your jurisdiction. You have to write to your current assessing officer in Pune regarding your change of place and request him to transfer your case records and jurisdiction to appropriate AO in Delhi. Once both the officers in Delhi and Pune are satisfied about proposed transfer, the Pune Officer will initiate transfer process and migrate your PAN to the new AO inDelhi.

Whenver you file Return of Income for the current year. PREPARE a letter for change of Migration of Pan.Get this letter acknowledge at poona's INCOME TAX OFFICE of your juridictional address and to attach this acknowledged zerox copy while filing your Return of Income at your new jusictional address at the INCOME-TAX OFFICE AT NEW DELHI.

You have to change the address of your pan card by submitting correction form. You have to write to the old assessing officer asking for change of jurisdiction and copy of the same should be submitted to the new assessing officer. On line you can know your jurisdiction.

Though the existing AO ward is known, but how does one know the NEW AO WARD and it is neither available at any site.Please advice.
