I humbly request the expert to guide me in this urgent matter.

I have been selected for the post of Assistant in ICAR which is an autonomous body under govt. of india. When applying for this post I was serving with kendriya vidyalaya sangathan and did not apply through proper channel. Currently i have resigned from the service(proposed on 27/2/12 and accepted on 20/4/12) and doing PhD. Do i need to show this service period for police verification and will doing so affect my appointement? Also what are the chances of getting extension for six months as I am pursuing my higher studies?

For police verification purposes, do not conceal the fact about your service with your past organisation. So, must make a mention in the Attestation form meant for verification of character and anticedents.

Extension of time to join the new organisation depends purely on the discretion of the competent authority in the ICAR organisation that too subject to the condition that there is no urgency for filling up of the post.

So, you may better contact the appointing authority in ICAR to discuss about the question of advancement of your academic career.

So sir do u mean that not applying through proper channel will not affect as i hav already resigned from the service.

Ans : Can you afford to tell lie. Can you afford to tell truth. You decide.

Ans : Entirely depends upon your department.

You have in response to the reply of Mr Dhingra asked "mean that not applying through proper channel will not affect as i hav already resigned from the service."

Ans : I do not think that Mr Dhingra ever gave you any such assurance. He has only expressed that you are not expcted to conceal facts in the attestation form.
