Sister asking to transfer property in the name of mom

My father purchased a flat in Andheri Mumbai. As he did not leave a will after his demise will all the kids and wife have equal rights in the property?

My sister is asking us to transfer the property in her name saying that she is taking care of my mom. We all want to claim the property now.... Please advise how can it be done as we are not staying in that place now... Does MHADA have any role in this.

Please respond asap.

Thanks...

Tax on money transfer between bank accounts

Dear Sir,
Is there any tax if I transfer (by cheque or RTGS/NEFT) 2 lakhs or more into the bank account of wife/a family member/friend?

What is the maximum amount exempted from tax?

Can I split the amount into smaller pieces and transfer via several transactions (cheque or RTGS/NEFT)?

Is money transfer considered as a gift? Is there any tax on gift?

Thanks in advance.

Filling divorce petition

Hello Sir/Madam,

I have filled an 498 against my husband in June 2013 and case is in family court now. I have filed a petition for divorce in family court last week Jan 4th 2014. Can you please suggest me. Court has sent a notice to my husband for March 3rd 2014 and it will be first hearing. But My lawyer as suggested me to be present on same day so that through 3rd party we can get the divorce papers signed by my husband. So that within 4-5 months we can get divorced. As i want to end this procedure ASAP since i have lost patience.

But i'm scared if my husband doesn't sign divorce papers. He has told most of common friends and extended family that he would torcher me without giving divorce.

My question is if my husband doesn't sign divorce can i still take back 498a and divorce petition and say in court that i will get back to husband's house.

please suggest.

Ragging/ want a lawyer in mumbai

Ok, I must have asked this query many times..
I am a doctor. In 2005 I faced ragging(verbal)-->complaint---> Inquiry was set up--> Committee found no ragging--> I was not satisfied--> I complained of same to university and police--> university asked college to file FIR---> college asked police to file FIR---> police asked the Dean to come to police and file FIR--> College states don't file FIR under pretext my mental condition not proper--> Police states even they feel my mental condition not proper, hence they are not filing FIR---> College ask not file FIR even on my direct complaint to police.
I am continously writting letter to one or other. College says (to their superior), police stated my mental condition not proper and hence FIR can't be filed, and police says (to their superior) college stated my mental condition not proper and hence FIR can't be filed.
This is going till date. (their is no one common authority who can make answerable to both police and college. Last I wrote letter to Bombay HC, who has asked comment of university, which is still pending)
Now, I want to approach court (either HC, or Magistrate or any other court)
Till date my father was not supporting me financially, but now I earn.
Also let me know what can be likely outcome of such a late (old) case, from your experience.
