I became two days late in paying a balance of Rs.400/- for my SBI credit card,they have charged me Rs. 600/- late fee and denied to waive off after three consecutice requests.
I wonder under which law they can charge me such a big penalty for such a small amount apart from the settled monthly interest.
Do RBI/Govt. permits them to do so ?

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am having garment franchisee of one company and now my business has been burried due to improper supply of goods from the company and i want to bind up this business and recovery of my security asap. I am having the stock of about 12 lacs, according to company, and my security deposit with the company is 6 Lacs+two non dated cheques of 2.50 lacs each. Company cannot pay my security till january 2011 after picking up all the stock. My queries are:
1. Should i send the legal Intimation Notice to company for the settlement of my account asap for the safer side?
2. What should i do for the non dated cheques which are with the company?
3. If Company sends me legal notice first then my showroom place will be ceased to do any other business till the resolution of this case?
4. Can comapny prepare a pre dated legal intimation and try to push me into any kind of mess? what point should i include in my legal notice for the safer side?
My only intention is to handover their stock and recovery of my security 6lacs and losses of 3 months which is 150, 000 only.

h)'manufacturer' in relation to any commodity in packaged form, means a person who, or a firm or a Hindu undivided family which, produces, makes or manufactures such commodity and includes a person, firm or Hindu undivided family who or which puts, or causes to be put, any mark on any packaged commodity, not produced, made or manufactured by him or it, and the mark claims the commodity in the package to be commodity produced, made or manufactured by such person, firm or Hindu undivided family, as the case may be;
Advise the Legal Compliance to be followed under the above mentioned Act and Rule

what are the proceedures for Section of 25 companies for merger with similar companies;
is there is difference of the transferree company which is not a section 25 companies,
is there is difference of the transferee company which is not incorporated by virtue of special act.
views are solicitied from the collegeues with statutory steps in this regard

I availed a personal loan from a pvt bank three years ago for a period of 48 months. I currently have 10 more installments left and do not have any arrears till date. Recently I happen to notice in my loan account statement that the bank has been charging cheque bounce charges for certain months. My repayment is facilitated through auto debit from my savings account with the same bank(and i use this account for my loan repayment only).I checked my savings account statement and found that there was sufficient fund in my account on the same date when the PL has charged me with penalty for Cheque bounce. The same thing had happened once earlier and i notified the bank and got it fixed after continuous follow ups. This time I am disgusted and would like to pre close the loan only because of the substandard service. I am not willing to pay the closure charges as the poor service from the bank's side is forcing me to close it. I am planning intimate the bank authorities regarding my decision and issue a directive for stop payment for savings account. Is this demand of mine compliant with our laws ?

Dear Sir,
One of our Customer had issued a Cheque for Rs.5,00,000/- which was dated 20/06/2011. The same was presented into Bank but upon verification in the Net Banking, we see that the Customer has given Stop payment against our Cheque.
In this regard, I would like to know the consequences wherein the Stop payment can be given and what are the options available for me to approach the Legal Cell for justice.
Kindly advise me.
